Time to clean out the garage…
Pull the cars out into the driveway…
Sweep (or use your leaf blower) to clear the floor of all the winter sand and salt.
Now that the floor is clear and clean, start sorting your “Stuff”…
Put the PICNIC / BEACH / PARTY “Stuff” in one corner…
The HOLIDAY DECORATIONS in another corner…
The WINTER EQUIPMENT on the back wall…
The GARDEN TOOLS on the other wall…
And the kids toys on the other wall…
Now you can bring the cars back into their bays and not have to worry about running anything over!!!!

IT’S TAX TIME…
NOW IS THE TIME TO ORGANIZE YOUR 2009 RECEIPTS…
AND SET UP A SYSTEM FOR 2010 AND BEYOND…
STEP #1 – PUT ALL YOUR RECEIPTS AND TAX PAPERS IN A BASKET / BOX
STEP #2 – SORT THE PAPERS INTO CATEGORIES – EXPENSES
INCOME
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
HOME IMPROVEMENTS
ETC…
STEP #3 – SORT EACH PILE BY DATE
STEP #4 – SET UP AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET USING YOUR CATEGORIES FROM STEP #2
ENTER THE INFORMATION ON EACH RECEIPT / PIECE OF PAPER INTO YOUR EXCEL SPREADSHEET
STEP #5 – STAPLE / PAPERCLIP ALL THE PAPERWORK TOGETHER – PUT THEM IN AN ENVELOPE OR FOLDER AND SEND IT ALL OFF TO YOUR TAX PREPARER
ONCE YOUR TAXES ARE COMPLETE PUT ALL THE DOCUMENTS TOGETHER AND STORE IN A SAFE PLACE
AND NOW THAT YOUR 2009 SYSTEM IS IN PLACE YOU CAN CONTINUE IT ON FOR 2010 AND BEYOND
HOPE THIS TIP MAKES YOUR TAX SEASON LESS STRESSFUL!!

Tip of the Month (March 2012)
Now is the time to “Spring Clean” your closets.
With the temperatures going into the upper 70’s this weekend it is a great time to
get rid of some clothes as you put them away for the summer.
Go through everything “OBJECTIVELY”.
And if you did not wear that wool sweater, those corduroy pants, or those multi colored mittens this winter… consider donating them.
And now as you start hanging up those spring / summer items… do the same thing.
Did you ever wear that orange, flowered t-shirt that didn’t quite look the same on you as it did on that mannequin????
Donate it!!!
And once you have donated your clothes, you will feel great that someone else can now enjoy your things.
And you will now have room for more clothes.
